About USAC

Individual Outreach Overview

From 2004 to 2008, USAC operated the Site Visit Program with the assistance of BearingPoint. Designed to assess levels of program compliance, provide outreach to participants, and gather feedback on USAC's operations, site visits began with Schools and Libraries applicants in 2005, expanded to High Cost companies in 2006, and finally included Low Income and Rural Health Care participants in 2007.

USAC is currently implementing a successor to the Site Visit Program to provide individual outreach to USF beneficiaries. Called Individual Outreach, this new activity will enable USAC to deliver real-time, one-on-one support customized to individual USF program participants' unique circumstances. Currently operating in the Schools and Libraries Program as the Helping Applicants to Succeed (HATS) Outreach Initiative, this activity will soon get under way in the High Cost, Low Income, and Rural Health Care Programs, as well.
